Affirmations are positive statements about yourself, made to yourself, in the present tense.
Affirmations used in conjunction with visualizing a clear image, idea, and feeling produce an energy that attracts and manifests its material form.
Here are 7 steps to aligning yourself with the natural principles that govern the workings of our Universe, and learning how to use these principles in the most conscious and creative way...
Step 1. Present your affirmations in the present tense.
For example, instead of saying “I will get 5 extra sales this month”, say instead “I’m grateful for receiving 5 extra sales this month that I now need to nurture.”
Acknowledge that your desire has already been designed and that you’re now ready for the Universe to manifest it into its material form.
Step 2. Frame your affirmations positively.
Declare what you want, not what you don’t want.
Rather than saying “I no longer overeat at mealtimes”, say instead “I now only eat what I need for energy at mealtimes and then I’m full.”
This forms a positive approach for your image, idea, and feeling to manifest into objective reality.
If you have trouble thinking of a way you can frame your affirmation positively, try changing your perspective.
For example, instead of saying “I don’t need to get anxious when I drive”, you can say “I now stay relaxed and calm when I drive and I can drive from point A to point B easily and effortlessly.”
Step 3. Keep your affirmations short and sweet.
In fact, the simpler the better.
Your affirmation should be a clear statement that conveys your desire through strong meaning.
Complicated affirmations lose meaning because they vear off point. Avoid the distraction of being “clever.”
Step 4. Keep and repeat affirmations that feel right.
There are a million different versions of affirmations online, but your desires are unique only to you.
Search for general affirmations that you can use to form positive statements about yourself, made to yourself, in the present tense and use that as your guideline for anything you want to manifest.
Step 5. Don’t reinvent the wheel.
Your affirmations don’t need to be complete original works of art. Other people have said the exact same affirmation before.
But, your affirmations will always be unique to you because it’s coming from you.
Search for general affirmations that you can modify to suit your own unique situation.
Step 6. Affirmations are declarations, not self-talk.
Affirmations do not ask you to question your unhelpful beliefs and change or replace them in a single step.
Affirmations are used to solidify a belief in your subconscious mind so it becomes true for you.
Step 7. Affirmations unlock your subconscious mind.
The things we say inside (and out loud to the Universe) attract and create everything that happens to us.
We attract into our lives whatever we think about the most, whatever we believe in most strongly, what we expect on the deepest levels, and/or imagine most vividly.
Affirmations can be used as a stand alone self-development tool, or in combination with visualizing or guided imagery.
Affirmations are a very effective part of the visualization and manifestation process.
Affirmations are awe inspiring when there’s a spiritually referenced connection to God, the Goddess, the Universe, a higher power, spirit, Mother Earth, divine love, and other spiritual energy sources.
